I’m sure many communities all over America have a Ring Street. Ours was the tiniest street in town. When we lived there, there was just enough room for one house, a pub and a couple of small businesses. The pub was loud and the businesses were quiet but the house was magical.
In addition to the “main” living area there were three apartments and a little store front. We lived together as a community of friends, each with our own living areas but with enough care for each other that lead us to share life and all that comes with it. Sure we loved eating together and enjoying fun times but some of the best times were when we were making music. Some of us were solo performers and others traveled in bands. Some produced and recorded while others taught music.
In the end the address is less important than the lives who have remained connected despite changes in geography. Certainly those who never actually lived with us have moved into the neighborhood of our hearts. Their music lives here as well. Ring Street Records exists to help you become acquainted with the musical art and artists who shared this special time and place. We are really thankful that you are here.
